Why should you visit St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands!

Welcome to the America’s Paradise. The US Virgin Islands comprise of St. Thomas, St Croix, St John and the smaller Water Island are a hidden gem and a US territory in the Atlantic Ocean. It combines the beauty of the Caribbean and its picture-perfect beaches and culture with the familiarity of American customs and luxuries.

Ocean Villa is located on the beautiful island of St Thomas and boast unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean, Magens Bay Beach, St John and the British Virgin Islands The island is 32 square miles and has multiple non-stop flights from many major cities in the US.

The official language is English with a Caribbean dialect or patois (PA-twah). You will notice hints of former Danish colonial occupancy seen in the buildings, historic sites and street names a throwback to when the islands were the Danish West Indies prior to US purchase in 1917. The currency is the US dollars and major credit cards are widely accepted. ATMs and international banks are plentiful. The USVI is on Atlantic standard time as Daylight Savings time is not observed.

Prior to their visit all guest of Ocean Venue receives a digitalized Custom Guide to our villa and Island that includes suggestions for dining, shopping, activities and exploration. Additionally, our guests have access to our online concierge prior to arrival and throughout their stay.

Shopping
Shopping on St Thomas (and rest of USVI) is duty free from Jewelry, T-shirts, souvenirs or liquor the island has a wide variety of offerings for purchase. In downtown main-street, waterfront and the cozy streets in between and Havensight Mall at the cruiseship dock offer great locations for shopping.

Island Dinning
With a plethora of dining options from local cuisine, to international dishes whether it is fine dining at the water’s edge or anything in between there are many restaurants to satisfy the palate and provide an excellent culinary experience. Beaches
The Virgin Islands is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches Magens Bay Beach on St Thomas and Trunk Bay Beach on St John have been ranked throughout many years as top beaches in the world. There are many additional beautiful beach options:

Coral world Ocean Park allows guest to get up close and personal with beauty and magic of Caribbean marine life. An undersea observatory, daily feedings and hands on presentation makes an enjoyable day at Coral World. The adjacent beach Coki Point allows for lunch and swimming in beautiful Caribbean waters.

Mountain Top the highest point on St. Thomas at 1547 feet is the home of the original Banana Daiquiri. Just a few minutes away from Ocean Villa enjoy the breath takin views of Magens Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Phantasea Tropical Botanical Garden is walking distance from Ocean Venue and is a lush and beautiful garden filed with tropical foliage to observe

Paradise Point a tram ride whisk you 700 feet up in the air to observe beautiful views of St Thomas’ waterfront while having lunch.

Yacht Haven Grand – a collection of yachts surrounded by restaurants and shops greet you when you explore this waters edge complex. This is sure to have something for everyone.
